The Kinship Missionary Baptist Church is excited to announce a new chapter in our church history. Last evening during our annual Church business meeting a succession plan was presented by our Pastor and Founder, Rev. Eugene P. Todd. The succession plan presented to the church was that we would receive Rev. Vernon Jones Jr. as the second Pastor of the Kinship Missionary Baptist Church. The plan was received by the membership and unanimously passed. Praise God!

Pastor Jones will begin working immediately with Pastor Todd in his new role as our Pastor. Pastor Todd will remain with the church for a minimum of a year to assist Pastor Jones and the transition team. The church is very excited about God's moving within our congregation.

"I have served as founder and Pastor for twenty-four years, and after speaking with God and seeking His will, I believe it is time to pass the torch," said Pastor Todd, " Rev. Jones has been preaching here at Kinship for the last ten years, he has grown up in this church, He has a love for God and God's people, he is well qualified."

Pastor Jones will be officially installed on April 6, 2003, at 4:00 PM. We are asking that you will come support and celebrate with us. Pastor Jones will be sending out a formal invitation to all of the Pastors, Ministry Leaders, and congregations in the upcoming week.

We thank God for appointing His leaders. We thank God for Pastor Todd and Sis. Todd they have provided faithful service over the last twenty-four years and will continue to serve at Kinship to assist our new Pastor, Pastor Jones!
