The 2003 Summer Transportation Internship Program for Diverse Groups (STIPDG) is an important part of the United States Department of Transportation's intermodal effort to promote the entry of women, persons with disabilities, and members of diverse groups into transportation careers where these groups are underrepresented. Exciting new opportunities are available for students in a wide variety of fields, including but not limited to: Engineering Planning Economics Transportation Management Environment Hazardous Materials Aviation Business Public Administration Management Information Systems Law Criminal Justice Marketing
Applications are due to FHWA by February 28, 2003. The actual internship assignments begin on June 2 and end on August 8, 2003.
